A few things about me

I’m a husband, father of two girls, and a 40 year old geek who never quite grew up, endlessly curious. What drives me is the urge to understand how things work. I’ve been online since 1996, and that same curiosity is exactly why I started getting into the internet, websites, and WordPress in the first place.

This website is my own little digital corner of the internet. Here I write down my thoughts, which helps me sharpen them and, at times, let them go.

Back during my training as a physics lab technician, I was already spending a lot of time with WordPress and this online world. My time in the German military put that on hold for a few years. Outdoor gear was the topic back then, something I read up on and tested a lot.

Things changed eventually, the German Army is history for me now, and I turned to something I’d wanted to do for a long time, studying. E-commerce turned out to be the right fit for me, even if practice ended up interesting me more than the lecture hall. That’s still what it comes down to for me today, digitalization.
